Major Issues People Mentally Disabled Face

Mental health issues affect many aspects of an individual's life, yet the support and resources required to manage these challenges are often inadequate. For instance, public resources for mental health support are limited and frequently of poor quality, thereby failing to meet the needs of those who rely on them.

In the workplace: individuals with mental health conditions often face a dilemma over disclosing their condition due to potential discrimination, and may gravitate towards less demanding jobs that offer a balanced work-life ratio. However, these opportunities are scarce, adding to their hardships.

Socially: the stigma associated with mental health can lead to isolation and discrimination. Misunderstandings and misconceptions about mental health conditions may result in individuals feeling alienated and misunderstood.

On the economic aspect: the high costs of healthcare, transportation, and housing add to the financial struggles faced by those with mental health issues, who often have lower income due to limited employment opportunities.
